Trust, without the mystery

How GigMigo vouching works

Category-specific peer support meets a business-specific trusted network—without pretending a vouch is a license, certificate, or guarantee.

Product report · July 21, 2026

One person. One category. One count.

A worker can support another worker in the kinds of work they personally trust them to do. Businesses then see the support that is relevant to their own hiring history.

Two views of the same network

1 · A gig endsA Business can rate the Migo after the agreed time has passed.
2 · Five starsThat Migo joins this Business’s trusted network.
3 · Relevant vouchesThe Business sees which categories its trusted Migos support on another worker.

Community view

Workers and signed-out visitors see community totals: the number of distinct workers who vouched for that person in each category.

Business trusted view

A Business sees only vouches made by workers that same Business has previously rated five stars. The count is personal to that Business and can differ from the count another Business sees.

Example: A Business gives Migo A five stars after a completed gig. Migo A later vouches for Migo B in Forklift and Line cook.

When that Business views Migo B, it sees:

Forklift · 1 trusted vouch Line cook · 1 trusted vouch

If the Business hires and rates Migo A five stars again, the count stays at one. People count—not the number of gigs. If another five-star Migo also vouches for Migo B’s Forklift work, the trusted count becomes two.

Counting rules and safeguards

Distinct people

One trusted worker can add no more than one count per category, even across repeated gigs.

Category-specific

A Forklift vouch does not become a Line cook, Bartending, or general-purpose vouch.

Worker to worker

Only a Personal/Migo profile can vouch, and only for another Migo. Self-vouching and Business vouching are blocked.

Reversible

The person who gave a vouch can remove it. Counts update from the current record.

Post-gig rating

A Business can rate only a confirmed worker agreement and only after its scheduled end time.

Private relationship graph

The profile shows category counts. It does not reveal which trusted worker supplied each count.

What a vouch does not mean

  • It is not a professional license, training record, background check, or certification.
  • It is not a guarantee of availability, safety, legal eligibility, or future performance.
  • Forklift and other regulated work may require credentials that must be checked separately.
  • Businesses remain responsible for interviewing, verifying qualifications, and making their own hiring decisions.

Trust with context.

Use the category, the count, and your own judgment together.
